FREE Mammogram* at Health Summit 2013

On Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Sixth Annual Health Summit will be held at the Jackie Robinson Community Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Blvd, Pasadena, CA. The event is focused on providing FREE tests and screenings for a variety of diseases that impact our community.

Once again, FREE Mammograms will be available. The facts are:

  1. African American women are more likely to die from breast cancer than any other ethnicity.
  2. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death among Latino women.
  3. Breast Cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander, and American Indian/ Alaska Native women.

For this reason, FREE Mammograms are being offered at the Annual Health Summit. To take advantage of this service, sign up in advance of the event at aka-elo.org for a FREE Mammogram. Requirements for a FREE mammogram are: 40+ yrs old, no breast implants, eligible for a patient reimbursement program - CDP, Family Pact, private insurance, or grant. If you have Healthy Way LA, you should get a mammogram through that program. Otherwise, the fee is $80. We have secured limited funds to cover the $80 charge so go to aka-elo.org and click on 'Our Community' today! Please call 626.475.7710 with any questions. Give yourself a fighting chance, get your Mammogram now!
