It is good to see former President Barack Obama start to speak out on issues that the sitting President aspires: the overturning of the conviction of General Flynn, after Flynn plead guilty, twice. The sitting President controls with a philosophy that asks, “What’s in it for me?” That is his attitude. That is how he leads. Mr. Obama analyzes this attitude and concludes, “…our basic understanding of the rule of law is at risk.” In the same call with 3,000 people who served in the Obama Administration, the former President criticized the current administration’s response to the Coronavirus Pandemic, stating, “It has been an absolute, chaotic disaster.”
In speaking about the killing of the young black man, Ahmaud Arbery, jogging in Brunswick, Georgia, LeBron James said “We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our homes!” Trump has said very little about this incident; I wonder what he would say if Ahmaud had been white and shot by two Black men. This whole episode brings to mind the banning of weapons in public when Ronald Reagan was Governor of California and the Black Panthers brought shotguns into the CA State Legislature. Reagan had a fit and banned long guns in the State Legislature. Funny how times have changed. People want to vote by mail in the upcoming Presidential election. The sitting President says voting by mail promotes fraud. Even though, he voted by mail in the last election. So did I. This President says the decision to vote by mail is a national issue to be determined by the States. California has already said voting by mail is okay and is sending mail-in ballots to every voter. This President is incompetent and a hater of Barack Obama. He has presided over the loss of twenty-five million jobs and claims it is Obama’s fault. I can say it is not my fault. He cannot. He is the President and it is on his watch. This reminds me of what my father told me about the great depression: “No jobs, no food, just hard times.” It was harder for Blacks than Whites. This time, I guess it will be harder for Mexicans and their children, given this President’s hatred of Mexicans. He may even hate them more than he hates Black people. If Blacks were not citizens, he would probably try to ship us back to Africa. 25 million jobs lost. More than all the jobs lost in the great Depression of 1929: and, whose fault is it? The current administration is currently trying to the shut food stamps program down; trying to do away with the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare); and, trying to kill us and/or return us to slavery times, at the same time. The old song says, “WE WON’T GO BACK NO MORE!” Obama is correct when he describes the present regime’s response to a national emergency as an “ABSOLUTE CHAOTIC DISASTER.” I would say this President is an absolute chaotic failure. |
