A Fresh Fixation on Vintage BigotryRepublican legislators and their leaders have proposed 238 discriminatory measures targeting LGBTQ children, athletes and school curriculum in the first three months of 2022. They plan to continue to stoke homophobic and anti-transgender sentiments as a way to win control of Congress. Seriously, instead of serving the needs of their constituents like 45,222 souls lost to murder and suicide in one year, healthcare, child tax credits, increase wages for American workers, aid to senior, lower drug prices and many more, they prefer to attack our children's education, encourage book burning, pretend that critical race theory is taught in schools and want to destroy our democracy.
Our dear friends who vote Republican, what are your priorities? What happened to the 'freedom to choose?' As a former high school principal I assure you that politics especially dehumanizing government degrees concerning the sacrosanct personal lives of our children and the right of parents will only cause serious harm. Instead of providing a safe space and comfortable environment for children to learn about themselves and grow, Republicans pass bills that isolate them. Children need our help to cope with their fears of adolescents as they accept and learn to love who they are. Dr. Richard A.
