My Opinion by Betty J. Ford
In my opinion . . . the only crime Ahmaud Arbery committed was running while black in a white area, Brunswick, GA. His hands were free, his feet were bare. Then they stopped him as if to arrest him. Arbery saw the men, he saw the rifle. He knew he had committed no crime and he knew they were not policemen, so he resisted. They tussled a bit, then the son shot Arbery. He fell down and was given no medical attention. The father called the police, they came and offered no medical help to Arbery. The trial was finally set and an announcement was made that no black pastors should attend the trial. Not only did black pastors attend - pastors of all races showed up on the right side of a wrong prejudiced community. Only one juror was black. All three men were charged with murder, and all three were convicted! Arbery had no where to run, no where to hide. He is now at rest in Paradise.A black man got a fair trial. Amen. [Betty J.
