The NAACP Pasadena Executive Board invites the community to celebrate Juneteenth. The NAACP Pasadena has partnered with NDLON to bring a community celebration that includes a car caravan from the Rose Bowl through Northwest Pasadena. By joining forces with our fellow brown brothers and sisters we are able to unite and demand the much needed resources and support that we need in our communities.
“Juneteenth is a day of cel-libration for the African-American community; This is a day that we as a community can celebration how far we have come while acknowledging we still have ways to go until the African-American community is seen as valuable ” says Allen, President of NAACP Pasadena “The African-American community still has to fight for equal rights when it comes to access to health care, economic opportunities and basic respect”. The event will take place on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 4:00pm at the Rose Bowl in Lot I. Please wear a mask and keep in mind of the current social distancing rules. Please email the NAACP Pasadena Branch at info@naacppasadena.org or visit naacppasadena.org for more information. |
