Extensive Damage to Two Police Helicopters

Pasadena, CA – On November 17, at about 4:00 p.m. two Pasadena Police Helicopters were involved in an incident where their rotator blades were believed to have touched during a maneuver at the police heliport.

The air crews from both helicopters sustained minor injuries. Five police officers and one civilian observer were all transported to local area hospitals by the Pasadena Fire Department.

Both OH-58 aircraft sustained extensive damage. The National Transportation Safety Board will conduct the investigation.
