rac•ism - hatred of one group by another based on their race. Generally practiced by one group having power over the other. A belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
bi•as - to cause partiality or favoritism in (a person); influence, especially unfairly: a tearful plea designed to bias the jury.
prej•u•dice - 1) an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason. 2) any preconceived opinion or feeling, either favorable or unfavorable. 3) unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, especially of a hostile nature, regarding a racial, religious, or national group.
big•ot - a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
eth•no•cen•tric - a belief based on the idea that your own group or culture is better or more important than others.
ego•cen•tric - caring too much about yourself and not about other people. SELF-CENTERED.
class•ism - prejudice or discrimination based on class (of people).
sex•ism - Prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex.
ste•re•o•type - 1) a thought that may be adopted about specific types of individuals or certain ways of doing things, 2) a belief may or may not accurately reflect reality.
