Now and Then: Specialty Edition of the Masters Series Presented by Pasadena Senior Center will be Virtual Via Zoom A special edition of The Masters Series, which embraces lifelong learning and is presented by the Pasadena Senior Center, will be virtual via Zoom Tuesdays, Nov. 17 and 24, and Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. and will be titled Now and Then.
• Nov. 17 and 24 – America in 1960. This two-part presentation will highlight the culture and politics of the U.S. in 1960 – the year the Pasadena Senior Center opened.
• Dec. 1 – Election Analysis. This will be a non-partisan analysis of the November 2020 elections.
Dr. Michael A. Genovese, professor of political science at Loyola Marymount University, will lead the online sessions.
He also is director of the Institute for Leadership Studies and president of the Global Policy Institute. He is a frequent commentator on local, national and international television and radio news programs, including CNN, NPR and CBS.
He occasionally does standup comedy at the Hollywood Improv Comedy Club.
The cost for the three sessions is only $38 for members of the Pasadena Senior Center and $45 for non-members.
