It’s Park Time L.A. County. Bring a blanket, a folding chair, and your dancing shoes! The Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation proudly announces the return of its award-winning Parks After Dark (PAD) summer program for 2021 with a full slate of movies and live music to entertain neighbors, families and friends in outdoor fun, a much-needed respite after more than a year of social isolation.
Parks After Dark begins its summer evening program on Friday, June 18 with Movie Night, then kicks it into high gear on Saturday, June 19 with the return of Summer Concerts. All programs are free to the public. Friday night movies start at 8:30 p.m. and Saturday concerts start at 6:30 p.m. Call your local park to find out more about pre-entertainment activities that start at 6:30 p.m. Movie Nights will run on consecutive Fridays through August 6 at all 33 Parks After Dark locations (Bassett Park Movie Night will begin on Friday, July 16). And, thanks to the generous support of the Board of Supervisors and the collaboration of the Department of Arts and Culture, PAD parks will also host Free Summer Concerts and Arts Education programs for youth and families!
