Pasadena Society of Artists Presents its Summer “Oil and Acrylic” Juried Exhibition Online July 15 to August 15
Pasadena Society of Artists is presenting its Oil & Acrylic Exhibition beginning July 15 online at both the PSA website, www.Pasadena Society of Artists.org, and ISSUU.com. Of the 29 artworks entered by 12 artists, 22 were accepted by juror Rob Sherrill, were painted in oil or acrylic only. In addition, a full-color printed catalog will be available for purchase within a few days of the opening.
Juror Rob Sherrill received his degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and is an experienced designer and art director. Currently he is creating commissioned art and enjoys painting figures, landscapes, and urban areas. His recent works can be viewed at www.robertsherrill.com. About the exhibition, Mr. Sherrill said, “Reading about artists and considering their points of view was fascinating and thought-provoking.” Artwork may be purchased directly from the artist. Their contact information is provided in the exhibit. The participating artists are Fred Chuang, Rick Drobner, Sonali Kolhatkar, Joanna Kos, Eileen Oda Leaf, Rosina Maize, Janet Manalo, Kevin McCants, David Sikes, Marilyn Stempel, Kathleen Swaydan, and Tsvetelina Valkov. Founded in 1925, the Pasadena Society of Artists is one of the area’s original professional artist groups. The Society is noted for its vigorous, active membership, wide diversity of artistic statement, and high professional standards. Membership is by juried submission. PSA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to present the works of its many talented and creative artists to the community of Pasadena and surrounding areas. Combining an active tradition of community participation and partnering with local community arts organizations, as well as philanthropic, humanitarian and educational institutions, PSA endeavors to enhance public awareness of art and the enriching qualities it brings to our lives.
