Power of Attorney and More

Black news from Pasadena - Personal Finance - Power of Attorney and morePortland Oregon Mall Shooting on December 11, 2012 . . . This senseless kind of shooting is happening too frequently. There has been a number of shootings in public places across the country in recent months. During 2012, we have witnessed many mass killings in the workplace, the mass killing at a Colorado movie theater, and the loss of lives due to hurricanes etc.

There have been numerous homicides, including, a man who was shot down while leaving his business in the 7900 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles, and a father and son who were shot and murdered in cold blood with their house then set afire in Inglewood, California.

What if you had been one of those people mentioned above? It's time to get your personal and business affairs in order. I have discovered that most people, including business owners, have no clue about their loved one's business structure or business affairs. Every adult needs an Advance HealthCare Directive (naming who will make health care decisions on their behalf if they are unable to do so.) Everyone needs a General Durable Power Of Attorney (appointing an agent to make financial decisions for them if they are unable to do so.) [Here are some] pointers to think about. Feel free to call me for an estate planning consultation.

LIFE HAPPENS! It's time to ensure that your family's financial goals are met while you are in your "Right Mind". Your financial legacy is important—plan for it. You have worked hard for what you have.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Whom do you want to inherit your assets, including your home, automobile, jewelry and other valuables?
  2. Whom do you want to make medical decisions for you if you are unable to make them yourself?
  3. Whom do you want to handle your financial affairs if you are ever incapacitated?
  4. If you are single, who will be the guardian over what you leave for your children?

Avoid probate with the high cost, agony & delay. Leave more money for your family and loved ones. Protect your special needs child via a Living Trust. Create a Living Trust so that cash disbursement can be disbursed in increments based on age and needs. Remember, you do not have to be "RICH" to plan your Estate!

Call today for your free consultation. Ask for Dr. Rosie Milligan, Senior Estate Planner, at 323-750-3592. (Discount of $150, good through January 15, 2013.)
