that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes; the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified." (Isaiah 61:1a,2-3)
Put your hand in the hand of the man that stilled the water!
Put your hand in the hand of the man that's like no other!
Put your hand in the hand of Christ Jesus; your friend and brother.
Put your hand in the hand of Christ, your savior and lover. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
We all have sinned and come short.
I will go to my grave shouting this fact with all my voice!
How important it was for me to know, I needed a savior, 34 years ago.
Secure as I could be, going forth to get a Ph.D.
I saw the limits of counting only on me.
Life was much more serious than getting a degree.
My colleagues said, "Are you crazy? You have too much intellect, you see!"
I ignored them, took the plunge, and confessed to God the sins I'd done.
From that moment of accepting Christ into my heart; I've been on the run!
I've been praising Jesus, for saving my life; and thanking him for making me a 'bloodwashed one!'
"How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"... In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." (Hebrews 9:14, 22 NIV)
Dear Pastor Glovioell,
I am young and have plenty of time to get 'saved!' I have got places to go and people to see. I have partying to do and girls to 'do.'
I know this is pretty raw. I am telling you because God knows what's in my heart anyway.
What's your thought?
Got to get it ON!
Dear Got to get it ON!
Listen to this. A young man in my life just passed away this week at the age of 26. I cried and wept, but I will tell you this! He knew about Christ-I didn't pound it down his throat or give him a 'dis!' I gave him hugs and respect and shared the Gospel list. And of my Godly love for him; he didn't miss.
