He who enters a battle ill equipped has resolved to lose it. I'm not sure of the origin of this saying, but who can deny its truth? As I sought the Lords guidance for what to write this week, I was lead to the foundational image and process He gave me many years ago for a fitness routine that would deliver on every level of a Christian person's desire to be abundantly fit.
This process would equip individuals with Godly authority and ability, enabling them to obtain maximum simultaneous results from their pursuit of God's Will for their lives and their desire to be Spiritually, Mentally and Physically fit - Inspired by: Titus 2:13-15 and Gen.1:28. No doubt there are too many of us who are in a losing "battle of the bulge", and I can't help but believe that the reason for this is that we limit the level or area of our desire to be fit to the physical; never calling upon the greatest aspect of who we are - spiritual beings, connected to a Spiritual Resource that never fails and is consistent, diligent and unmoved by situations and circumstances. UMMM, sounds exactly like the stuff one needs to succeed at the fitness game doesn't it?
Well, what if you know your lacking these attributes? Then I'd say your ahead of the game - step number one is admitting that you have a problem!
From this point all you have to do is tap into the Spiritual Resource; learn to take ownership of the Godly characteristics mentioned above.
Easier said than done? I don't think so... Mathew 6:33 - ...Seeking first His righteousness (knowing and acting upon what His sacrifice has done for us), equips you for battling your anti-fitness demons in a way that is almost magical; the Spirit of God directing your spirit to rule and reign and have victory over any and all obstacles standing in the way of you becoming Fit - God's Way.
Well that's all my time for this time; if this subject interests you, please join me next time when I'll share more regarding the awesome benefits of getting and being fit, God's way!
