"And I Am Just Saying" You Ought to Tell God, Thank You More Often

Black news from Pasadena - Religion - Just asking ... have you thanked God this morningHello, this is Dr. Rosie "AND I AM JUST ASKING": When you woke up this morning, did you tell God thank you? I am just saying; don't take waking up for granted because it's not the alarm clock that woke you up. It's not the hotel operator's call that woke you up. The hotel operator is calling someone right now who cannot answer the phone; therefore the operator is leaving a message that cannot be responded to . . .

I am thinking about my father Simon right now and how grateful he was for every little thing and he would let God know that he thanked Him for everything. Every Morning I would hear him thank God for what He had done and what He was going to do. These are the words my father prayed.

"Good morning, my Lawd, and my God. I thank you for waking me up this morning and closed in my right mind, having activities of my limbs, I thank you. I thank you that the bed I lay down on last night was not my cooling board, the kiver that I covered up with was not my winning shield, the four corners of my walls was not my grave and I thank you. As I looked around my household, all my family was well, and I thank you. Thank you God for the clothes that I put on my back, and for shoes, and for being able to put them on by myself. Thank you for the food that you have provided for us, because there are a lot of people who are hungry but you saw fit to feed me and my family, Lawd, thank you. Thank you God for shelter, because I know there are some who are out doors right now with nowhere to lay their head. Thank you for allowing me to be able to provide for my family. Lawd, I thank you that I have not had to get any of my children out of jail. Thank you for this little piece-of-a car and I thank you for a portion of health and strength. When I come down to the river of Jordan, cross me over that I can breathe my life out sweetly, There's where it will be always howdy howdy and never any more goodbyes and I will forever praise your holy name. AMEN."

My question is this, with your busy schedule and with the people that you have to talk to before you start your day, you would have enough time before you go to work to tell God, thank you, like my father did? Don't forget, it's not your time, all time belongs to God and since He gives it to you, can you give Him a little back?

"AND I AM JUST SAYING" tell God thank you.
