On January 6, 2021, Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol of the United States of America, in an insurrection under the direction of then-President of the United States, Donald Trump. David Duke, George Wallace and Bull Connor also hated integration and black folks, and they didn’t care who knew it. Donald Trump, Kevin McCarthy, and Mitch McConnell hate equality and truth and they don’t want the world to know it. They are cowards in my opinion.
The Underground Railroad, the Abolitionist movement, and the Civil War, all serve as evidence of the open hatred of black folks by whites. In addition to the Trail of Tears, the Asian Exclusion laws, the Japanese Concentration Camps, Slavery, and the Jim Crow laws, and the Black Codes, all show that these whites believe they are superior to all who are not white. In spite of the obstacles faced by black Americans, black Americans have achieved social and economic success, not by illusion and supposed gift, but by climbing up the rough side of the mountain, and like Syphilis, we have had to climb up again, and again, because some keep pushing us back down and, thus, slowing our progress. There is evidence that in spite of the open racism shown by some whites, blacks found a way to get over and progress, and keeping us behind. Some of us started businesses, some made millions and lifted their families and their people up from slavery, and from the outhouse of Jim Crow to freedom to a seat in the White House. Blacks created a Black Wall Street in Tulsa Oklahoma, and created Rosewood in Florida, and then had this progress taken away by white racists with guns and bombs. We have created million-dollar magazines, baseball teams, and baseball leagues, authors, actors, movie producers, lawyers, judges, doctors, surgeons, scientists, pilots, and astronauts. Blacks built schools, churches, and temples. We survived, in spite of the hate. We believe in a spirit and say, “We won’t turn back.” The votes to investigate and examine what happened on January 6, 2021, was 252 for creating a commission for the investigation of what happened, and why, and 175 against any investigation. Some said the insurrectionists were just like normal visitors to the Capitol, taking a leisure walk through the Capitol. Cowards don’t tell the truth. Cowards don’t think the truth matters. Their only truth is The Big Lie of one man (Trump) that’s all that matters. We need truth and a spirit that says, “We are here to help one another.” The Big Lie is that the then President of the United States didn’t lose the election for the 45th President. He did lose and need not show his face in Washington again, but the Cowards love him and move only when he says move in his direction. The Republicans, loyal to Trump voted with him. I attended the Million Man March in 1995. I don’t deny that the March happened, and it was peaceful. Also, I don’t deny that there was a riot at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. McConnell who immediately said that Donald Trump was practically and morally responsible for the riot then turned and voted against the investigation. I call him “The Kentucky Coward.” Kevin McCarthy, who is from my hometown, is also, in my opinion, a Coward. When I was a kid in Bakersfield, they called me the N-word on almost a daily basis. Now it’s interesting to note that McCarthy may not have forgotten that word which the Capitol Police say they were called. We are not the N-word. We are people with a community spirit. We are leaders; we are entrepreneurs, and businessmen, and women. We are overcomers who encourage and motivate one another, helping one another for such a time as this. I admit I am excited to see that a black woman, New York Attorney General Leticia James, is seeking to bring Trump to Justice. The chickens do come home to roost, even for cowards. It’s also good to see a Jewish man, Michael Cohen, former Trump fixer, now helping to bring Justice to America in the spirit of helping one another. |
