"Like many Americans I watched in horror as Trump supporters stormed our nation's Capitol with violent intent and holding Confederate flags. Those responsible, including the President, must be held accountable and prosecuted to the complete extent possible. These were not the actions of patriots but the anti American fringe that warrants the strongest condemnation. Those standing in solidarity with the attackers or rationalizing their reprehensible actions are not standing for or with the America that we all hold dear."
