The Truth Shall Set You Free
“It’s Christmas time and the grifter is still at his game.” I was raised in a holiness church called, The Church of God in Christ. We believed in truth-telling, and so when the Church watched the past President telling thousands of lies, we were shocked. This guy, a Television personality, tells lie after lie to keep himself looking like a king to be honored. He is an example of the guys who beat Emmett Till to death, or killed Viola Liuzzo, Medgar Evers, or the three young men Schwerner, Goodman, and Chaney, to keep Black folks from voting in the 1960s. I was around when Republicans Dogged Reverend Jeremiah Wright for saying things they did not like. At least they never accused him of lying. Reverend Wright supported Barack Obama and those of us who were not familiar with him learned to love him. He was a truth teller and not a Womanizer like the then President. The former President was a guy of low morals who suppressed the truth, abused women, and used government money for his own benefi t. Unlike Jeremiah Wright whose life work was trying to bring people together, the past President worked hard to keep us apart. His school was allegedly non-profit, but he had to refund twenty-fi ve million dollars for cheating his students out of their money. He promised to make millionaires out of all of them. He lied. The former President had a plan to destroy the rights of Black and Brown people after they put him in offi ce. The January 6th coup d’etat took away a few Black male voters, put Kanye West out front saying he had done more for Black people than anyone in history, including Abraham Lincoln. I am eighty years old, and I cannot name one thing this guy has done for Black people. Talk will not do it. We need money. The past President has somehow created a cult of people who would follow this guy to the gates of hell. We have learned better, but still, many follow him. It is not clear how the Jewish community will react to the former President stating that American Jews hate Israel. I believe and I pray they will reject him. The former President, who everybody knows he is a fool and a Buff on, pretends to love America but secretly wants to destroy it as evidenced by the January six Insurrection. Twofaced pretenders and lovers of the past President admire him, in part because he had become rich. In fact, he became rich by inheritance. His Father made the money, and he lost the money and fi led for bankruptcy. Someone asked the question, “How dumb do you have to be to have to fi le bankruptcy when the business is a casino?” It is Christmas time and the grifter is still at his game of cheating someone out of their hard-earned money, instead of out working to earn his own. Now he has fi led a lawsuit against the Attorney General of New York to stop her from discovering his true earnings. I do not think it will be successful, but he hopes it will slow down the truth of what he has done, and he will get another day to keep his ill-gotten gains. We pray that this spells an end to his thievery and a miracle wash over him causing the truth to be exposed. That is my prayer, but I expect no miracle. What I expect is another exposed fraud - a word that does not fi t with Christ. |
