Learn about the brick community and building techniques in panels and discussions. The 53rd California International Antiquarian Book Fair in Pasadena California, is excited to feature Women’s Suffrage in the United States, a celebration of the science fi ction and fantasy writer Ray Bradbury and the continued support of the California’s Young Book Collector’s Prize. A full schedule of events celebrates the achievements of and recognizes African Americans in U. S. History. Pasadena is proud to host one of the largest Black History parades in Southern California. Attendees can also stroll through the stables, talk to riders and learn about the various equipment that the riders use. The one-day event will take place at The Bloc plaza (Hope and 7th Street) in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The event is free to the public and includes a beer garden, games, exclusive Rose Bowl Game merchandise, photo activations that include the Rose Bowl Game trophy, and entertainment—including a DJ booth and participation from team bands and cheer squads. Other local merchants will also be available to attendees. https://tournamentofroses.com/events-calendar/rose-bowl-bash/ 131st Annual Tournament of Roses® Parade – January 1, 2020: Located along Colorado Boulevard, and flanked by VIP grandstand seating for the best views, the midwinter festival celebrates the best of Pasadena, where whimsical, fl oral covered floats, massive marching bands, decked-out horses and other ornate participants parade for fi ve and a half miles, led by 2020 grand marshals Rita Moreno (actress, EGOT recipient), Gina Torres (actress) and Laurie Hernandez (2016 Olympic gymnast, author, philanthropist). These beautiful masterpieces will be parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards spanning over two miles. Dive under the sea with exotic fi sh and a giant shark in the new Ocean Visions exhibit. Next step into a winter wonderland with the new Polar Dreams experience featuring playful penguins and cuddly sled dogs. Attendance reaches 28,000. Complimentary shuttles are available to transport visitors around to different venues.
