Pasadena NAACP Celebrates Centennial Year at Annual Ruby McKnight Williams Awards Dinner
The Pasadena NAACP Branch celebrated 100 years of service to the greater Pasadena community on Thursday, October 3, 2019 in grand style. The gala event attracted over 400 guests to share in the celebration, as fourteen honorees who have given outstanding service to the community and made great accomplishments in their various fields, were featured.
Those highlighted were; Arzella Valentine, Floyd Norman, Phillip Washington, Pablo Alvarado, Rabbi Marvin Gross, Imam JD Hall, Pastor Kerwin Manning, Bryan Takeda, Joe Brown, Laura Farber, Barbara Shay and Jordan Patton. The event theme was “One Hundred Years Strong”. Allen Edson is President of the Pasadena Branch NAACP, Darryl Dunn was the Honorary Chair and Juanita West Tillman, was this year's Event Chair.
